CSXT ballast hoppers |
Description: |
OK, I was not expecting this. Two AC44CWs running elephant-style lead a rare "as-needed" ballast train wastward at the Williamsburg Pottery. |

The train continues to pass. This is normally 40 mph territory, but best guess is he was doing no more than 20-25. |

C&O cantilever |
Description: |
Look at this relic! I bet this thing saw the steam era. Nice! I think that they should take out&the lenses and put in retrofit LEDs to make the signals more visible in the day from the ground. |

Unfortunately, all signals are red, including the mast signal seen in the other photo, so nothing's coming anytime soon. It's been nearly two hours since our last train came through (the ballast train). |

CSXT H774, one of four locals on this line, rolls east with a huge train as my buddy Colin Ramstad shoots video footage. |

A rather creepy shot of the Crappy Service Xpress passing a set of trees. The train is now entering single track territory. |

I remember when locals were very short on this line. It seems that they have grown in length over the years. This thing was about the size of an NS manifest on the Norfolk District!!! |

CSXT C&O style mast signal |
Description: |
Not the best picture, but this shows where the line goes from single to double track. The block signal is showing a clear aspect in preparation for the arrival of Amtrak P066. What's great about here is that both the westbound and eastbound signals (eastbound signals are the cantilever signals) can be checked to see what aspects they are showing within walking distance! |

Amtrak P066 passes the KFC at Williamsburg. The line is literally right behind the parking lot and drive-thru of the KFC. |
